In Western Australia annually, around 20 lives are lost in crashes in which WA Police suspect fatigue is a factor. Driver fatigue contributes to a percentage of fatal crashes globally, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive fatigue risk management for the safety of drivers and others on the road. The need for a customised database solution arose, and Paul got to work. He soon noticed that each of the three communities that Paul was involved with had a community “database” consisting of an Excel spreadsheet to track member information. However, this approach had its problems.
